This Brazos Walking Cane is made of teak timber and is particularly valued for its durability and water resistance. Though easy to work with, it can cause severe blunting on edged tools because of the presence of silica in the wood. Therefore, it is a strong wood for walking canes. Mara Wood comes from a rare and valuable tree found bordering forest areas. When it is polished, it takes on a gold luster.
Each Brazos cane is individually made from the finest woods including sassafras, hickory, sweet gum, iron bamboo, and many other exotic and native trees, in the USA. Before each cane is created, the raw wood blank is carefully inspected for hidden flaws that might affect the structural integrity of the walking cane. Only the raw blanks that show the highest strength are chosen for use. A mortise -- a rectangle shaped hole -- is cut with precision care into the handle. Then a matching tenon is shaped on the top of the cane shaft. The two pieces are trial fitted together; the tenon is adjusted until the fit is perfect, the resulting joint is extremely strong and durable.
All Brazos Walking Canes have a Lifetime Warranty against defects and a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
